Role in the Realm
Bards are Aldoria's musicians, performers and entertainers.
They bring life to taverns, festivals, marketplaces, royal gatherings and community events through music, poetry and performance.
A Bard may travel from settlement to settlement performing for coin, work regularly in an Innkeeper's establishment or become attached to a particular faction or noble household.
Bards may also create songs inspired by major events or characters within the server, helping turn player stories into part of Aldoria's living culture.
Bards may focus on:
- Playing instruments
- Singing
- Poetry
- Performing at taverns and inns
- Festivals and celebrations
- Ceremonial performances
- Writing songs about server events
- Travelling performances
- Entertaining guests during feasts
- Being hired for weddings, funerals or faction events
Bard is an entertainment hobby and does not automatically make the character a Scholar or official historian.
Choosing a Hobby
A character may choose one Main Profession and one Hobby. Hobbies provide additional roleplay and character flavour and do not share the same progression benefits as Main Professions unless specifically stated.
