Role in the Realm
Fishermen specialise in life around Aldoria's rivers, lakes and coastlines. They spend their time searching for useful or unusual catches and often become familiar with waterways that other characters rarely visit.
Fishing can provide food, valuable catches and items that may be sold or traded to other players. Experienced Fishermen may also take part in fishing competitions, coastal expeditions and community events centred around the water.
Fishermen may operate small fishing huts, docks or market stalls and can sell their catches directly to Innkeepers, Traders or other residents.
Fishermen may focus on:
- Fishing from rivers, lakes and coastlines
- Selling fresh fish and unusual catches
- Operating fishing huts or small docks
- Fishing competitions
- Collecting rare aquatic items where server systems allow
- Supplying Innkeepers with seafood
- Taking part in coastal or boating RP
Fisherman is primarily a fishing and waterside RP hobby and does not replace the Gatherer profession.
Choosing a Hobby
A character may choose one Main Profession and one Hobby. Hobbies provide additional roleplay and character flavour and do not share the same progression benefits as Main Professions unless specifically stated.
