Role in the Realm
Saddlers specialise in equipment used for mounts and working creatures.
While Beast Masters work directly with the creatures themselves, Saddlers focus on the equipment that allows those creatures to be safely ridden or used.
Players may commission a Saddler when they obtain a new mount and require appropriate riding equipment.
Saddlers may focus on:
- Crafting saddles
- Supplying riding equipment
- Fitting mounts with appropriate saddles
- Decorative saddle designs
- Saddle repairs where supported
- Mount bags and related equipment where mods allow
- Specialised saddles unlocked through server progression
- Selling saddles to Beast Masters and other players
The distinction should remain:
Beast Master = handles and trains the creature.
Saddler = supplies the equipment used to ride or work with the creature.
Saddler should not replace Blacksmith weapon/armour crafting or Beast Master creature handling.
Choosing a Hobby
A character may choose one Main Profession and one Hobby. Hobbies provide additional roleplay and character flavour and do not share the same progression benefits as Main Professions unless specifically stated.
