Role in the Realm
Undertakers care for Aldoria’s dead and oversee the customs surrounding death, burial and remembrance.
They prepare bodies, organise funerals, maintain graves and memorials and ensure that those who have fallen are treated with dignity.
More experienced Undertakers also possess knowledge of the ancient rites surrounding resurrection. Under the correct circumstances, an Undertaker may perform an approved ritual capable of bringing a deceased character back from death.
Resurrection is not casual or guaranteed. It should require the appropriate Undertaker progression, roleplay, conditions and any materials or approval required by the server’s death system.
Undertakers cannot override permanent death or other server rules simply because they possess the profession. Their ability to restore the dead exists within Aldoria’s established life, death and resurrection rules.
This makes the Undertaker one of the realm’s most unusual professions — serving both those who must be laid to rest and those who may yet be returned to the living.
Profession System
Each character may have one Main Profession and one Hobby.
The Main Profession is the character’s primary working role and is the profession that can be levelled through progression, quests and tier rewards.
The Hobby is a secondary role chosen for additional roleplay and character flavour. Hobbies do not share the same progression benefits as Main Professions unless specifically stated.
A character may only have one Main Profession and one Hobby at a time.
