Luminous court dwellers embodying vernal light, blossoming enchantments, noble bargains, and graceful merriment.
Seelie Fae are the brighter and more openly social bloodlines of Aldoria’s Fae. They are most often associated with ancient groves, flower-filled valleys and places where the natural world appears untouched by time. Seelie communities value beauty, hospitality, celebration and the preservation of living things, though outsiders should not mistake their charm for weakness.
Seelie Fae tend to have luminous or warm complexions, with gold, bronze, pale green or softly coloured markings. Hair colours commonly include blonde, auburn, silver and light brown. Their wings, when visible, often resemble butterflies, moths or translucent leaves and may carry bright or iridescent patterns. Flowers, vines, polished wood and delicate jewellery are commonly woven into their clothing.
Seelie Fae are often curious, expressive and socially confident. Many enjoy music, stories, celebrations and meeting travellers. They can be generous and warm to guests who respect their customs, but they are also proud and may take insults, broken promises or cruelty toward nature very seriously.
Seelie settlements often survive through gardening, gathering, beekeeping, herbalism, hunting and trade. Daily life tends to be communal, with meals, music and seasonal celebrations bringing families together. They commonly act as guides through peaceful woodland territories and maintain hidden paths known only to their own communities.
Music, dance, storytelling and gift-giving are important parts of Seelie culture. Promises are treated seriously, especially those made during ceremonies or festivals. Seasonal events, the changing of the moon and the flowering of important plants may all be marked with gatherings and rituals.
Seelie settlements are usually hidden within beautiful woodland clearings, flower valleys and ancient groves. Structures are often built around trees rather than replacing them, using timber, stone, vines and natural formations. Lanterns, gardens and decorated pathways are common features.
Healer, Farmer, Breeder, Bard-style hobby roles, Tailor-style hobbies and Beast Master fit Seelie communities particularly well. Healers, herbalists, musicians and guides are also common.
Seelie Fae generally have strong relationships with Fawns and Wood Elves because of their shared respect for nature. Halflings are often welcomed for their friendliness and love of celebration. They may distrust Orcs, Trolls or expanding Human settlements if they threaten protected woodland.
