Nocturnal wanderers drawn to silver-lit clearings, ancient standing stones, starlight navigation, and quiet lore.
Moon Fawns are a rarer Fawn bloodline traditionally associated with secluded valleys, ancient groves and places where the night sky is clearly visible. Their pale appearance and preference for travelling during twilight have caused many stories to surround them. Despite these tales, Moon Fawns are not supernatural beings; they simply preserve older traditions and tend to remain isolated from larger settlements.
Moon Fawns commonly have pale grey, silver, white or very light brown fur. Silver, white, pale-blonde and dark hair are all seen among them, while their horns are often lighter in colour than those of other Fawn bloodlines. Pale markings, silver jewellery and moon-shaped decorations are common. Their clothing often uses dark blue, grey, white, muted green and silver accents.
Moon Fawns are generally calm, observant and introspective. They tend to think carefully before acting and are less openly expressive than Woodland Fawns. Many possess a strong interest in stories, history, astronomy and old traditions. Although reserved, they are usually compassionate toward travellers who become lost or injured within their territory.
Moon Fawn communities often organise daily life around cooler evening and early morning hours. Hunting, gathering, herbalism and livestock keeping remain important, but many also spend time recording the movements of stars, seasons and weather. Their knowledge of night travel makes them valuable guides.
The night sky carries strong cultural importance. Important journeys, marriages and coming-of-age ceremonies may be timed according to particular moons or seasonal changes. Elders preserve long oral histories, and some communities maintain stone markers used to track changes in the sky across generations.
Moon Fawns favour secluded valleys, elevated forests and quiet clearings where the sky remains visible. Their settlements often contain standing stones, open gathering areas and elevated lookout points. Lanterns and small fires are used carefully so the night sky remains visible.
Alchemist, Beast Master, Farmer and Breeder fit Moon Fawn communities particularly well. Herbalists, historians, scouts and night guides are also highly respected.
Moon Fawns generally maintain peaceful relationships with Snow Elves, Seelie Fae and Wood Elves. They are often curious about Dark Elves due to their shared comfort with darkness and night travel, though the two cultures can differ greatly. Other races sometimes treat Moon Fawns with unnecessary suspicion because of old legends surrounding them.
