Woodland Fawn
Nimble scouts and herbalists who move silently through dense deciduous forests and secluded clearings.
Woodland wanderers born among Aldoria’s ancient forests and mountain valleys. Nimble, sure-footed and fiercely protective of their homes, Fawns are renowned as scouts, hunters and guides through the wild places of the realm.

Fawns are an old woodland people of Aldoria, most commonly found within deep forests, mountain valleys and forgotten groves far from the walls of civilisation. Recognisable by their curved horns, pointed ears, fur-covered legs and cloven hooves, they are naturally sure-footed and remarkably comfortable travelling across difficult terrain.
For generations, Fawns have served as hunters, scouts, guides and guardians of the wild paths. Rather than building great cities, their communities tend to form around secluded clearings, ancient ruins and places of natural importance. Many outsiders mistake their isolation for weakness, but Fawns know the wilderness better than almost any other people of Aldoria.
Fawns possess humanoid upper bodies and animal-like lower legs ending in cloven hooves. Horns, earthy hair and clothing made from leather, fur, leaves and woven fabrics suit movement through forests, mountains and wild terrain.
Hooved Movement:
Fawns can struggle on smooth floors and narrow ladders.
Limited Heavy Armour:
Their body shape makes restrictive armour uncomfortable.
Territorial Instincts:
Some become defensive when sacred areas are disturbed.
Wilderness Focus:
Remote Fawns may initially struggle in organised urban environments.
Maturity Age: Fawns usually reach adulthood at around 18 years of age.
Reaching adulthood is traditionally marked by a journey known as The First Path, where a young Fawn must leave the safety of their home and navigate the surrounding wilderness alone before returning.
Lifespan: Fawns commonly live between 90 and 130 years.
Elders are highly respected within Fawn communities and often serve as storytellers, guides and keepers of old woodland traditions.
Fawn culture values wilderness, family and knowledge of the land. Hunting, scouting, animal handling, craftsmanship, stories, songs, carvings and symbols are highly respected.
Fawns often excel in roles connected to wilderness survival, animals and the land.
