Overview
Embermarked are born with unusual markings resembling heat cracks, burned patterns or glowing embers beneath the skin.
Their appearance has led to widespread rumours connecting them to volcanic regions, ancient fire magic, curses or elemental forces.
The actual cause remains unknown.
Appearance
Charcoal-darkened patches, reddish markings and faint orange or ember-coloured fissures may appear across the face and body.
Their ears should remain normal humanoid ears and match the surrounding skin.
Limitations
Embermarked characters cannot automatically create, resist or control fire.
Their appearance is primarily a racial and roleplay characteristic unless abilities are granted separately through approved gameplay systems.
Traits & Culture
Embermarked often attract fear because their appearance is easily mistaken for active magic or dangerous corruption.
Some regard the markings as a gift while others hide them whenever possible.
