Overview
The Scarred possess a comparatively subtle form of the Marked condition.
Their bodies develop irregular lines, patches, ridges and scar-like formations despite the individual never having suffered the injuries such markings would normally suggest.
Some believe the condition is an inherited mutation while others interpret the markings as evidence of an ancestral curse.
Appearance
Natural scar-like patterns, irregular pigmentation, hardened patches, birthmarks and textured areas may spread across the face or body.
These features must appear naturally part of the character.
They should not glow, produce magical effects or automatically resemble magical runes.
Limitations
The Scarred possess no automatic supernatural abilities.
Their markings may instead result in unwanted attention, mistaken identity or prejudice.
Traits & Culture
Because their condition can be less dramatic than other forms of the Marked, some Scarred live relatively ordinary lives while others deliberately conceal their appearance.
