Overview
Stoneborn possess one of the most recognisable Marked conditions. Portions of their skin develop with mineral-like texture, cracks or hardened layers from birth.
Scholars disagree on whether the condition represents mutation, magical influence or an unusual inherited trait.
Appearance
Grey, slate, brown or pale stone-like patches may appear across the face, arms, torso or legs.
Stone coverage varies significantly between individuals.
Limitations
Stone-like skin does not provide automatic armour, invulnerability or damage resistance.
Heavily affected areas may even reduce flexibility or make certain equipment uncomfortable.
Traits & Culture
Some communities view Stoneborn as blessed by the earth. Others fear that they are gradually becoming stone.
Neither belief is confirmed.
