The Laws of Conflict

War Rules

Structured warfare for fair, meaningful and immersive conflict throughout Aldoria.

Gameplay Rules Discord Rules War Rules

War within Aldoria is a structured roleplay system. All conflicts must follow the rules below to ensure warfare remains fair, meaningful and immersive for everyone involved.

I. War & Combat Rulebook

War & Combat Rulebook

The requirements that govern declarations, alliances, combatants and protected creatures.

All wars, sieges and raids must be formally declared and approved by an Admin before any combat begins.

Unauthorized attacks, surprise warfare or attempts to begin a war without administrative approval are strictly prohibited.

Alliance Requirements

All alliances between Houses or Factions must be officially established through an in-character roleplay meeting.

The agreement must then be confirmed with a screenshot posted in the appropriate Discord channel.

Strategic Alliance Limit

Each House may maintain a maximum of:

  • Two Strategic Combat Alliances

Marriage alliances do not automatically count toward this limit unless the House chooses to designate that relationship as one of its strategic combat alliances.

All wars follow Aldoria's structured three-stage War System.

Conflicts progress from diplomacy, to open battle, and finally to siege where required.

Full details are explained under War Stages below.

Flyers may not be used for direct PvP combat unless specifically approved by Admins.

Flyers may be used for:

  • Transportation
  • Scouting
  • Deploying troops

Before direct combat begins, the flyer must:

  • Land completely
  • Be placed on Passive

Dragon Exception

These restrictions do not apply to approved Dragons where server rules or Admin instructions specifically permit their use.

Non-Ridden Tame Limit

Players may bring a maximum of:

  • Three non-ridden tames into a battle.

Any additional tame involved in combat must have a designated rider.

Non-Ridden Tames

Non-ridden tames brought into a battle must remain on Passive unless an Admin has specifically approved otherwise for that event.

Ridden War Tames

A tame being actively ridden and used during battle is considered an Active Combatant and may participate normally in combat.

Protected Passive Tames

Tames that are safely stored, not participating in the battle, and set to Passive may not be deliberately targeted or killed.

Rider Death

If a ridden tame has actively participated in the battle and its rider is killed, the tame remains an Active Combatant for the remainder of that engagement and may still be killed.

II. War Stages Rulebook

War Stages Rulebook

Every conflict moves from negotiation to engagement and, where required, a decisive final siege.

All wars within Aldoria follow a structured three-stage system designed to ensure every conflict progresses fairly and reaches a decisive conclusion. From diplomacy to open warfare, each stage carries its own rules and consequences.

Before blood is spilled, both factions must meet with an Admin to officially declare war and discuss the terms of the conflict.

This stage serves as the final opportunity to settle the dispute peacefully.

Terms of Conflict

Both sides must attempt to agree on:

  • War objectives
  • Battle locations
  • Conditions for victory
  • Any additional rules or restrictions

Administrative Oversight

If the factions cannot reach an agreement themselves, an Admin will establish fair terms so the conflict can proceed properly.

Once the terms are approved, both sides are bound by them for the duration of the war unless an Admin approves a change.

If negotiations fail, the conflict moves into open battle.

These engagements are intended to weaken the enemy's forces, morale and resources before a potential Final Siege.

Approved Battle Zones

All battles must take place within a pre-approved combat zone designated for either Field or Naval warfare.

Fighting outside the approved battle area is not permitted unless specifically authorized by Admins.

One-Life Rule

During an official Field or Naval Battle:

  • Each participant has one life.

Once a player dies, they are eliminated from that battle and may not return.

Death during an official War Stage II battle also results in Permanent Character Death.

Players may not respawn and rejoin the same battle using another character.

Battle End Conditions

The battle ends when one side:

  • Surrenders
  • Loses all active fighters
  • Loses all remaining active combat tames

Admins may also end the battle if necessary due to technical problems, rule violations or circumstances that prevent the event from continuing fairly.

Field Battle Rules

Combat Restrictions

Field Battles must take place primarily on land.

Combat may involve:

  • Foot soldiers
  • Approved ridden war tames
  • Approved non-ridden tames within the normal tame limit

Any tame brought into a Field Battle should be considered at genuine risk of death.

Players should not bring creatures they are unwilling to potentially lose.

Naval Battle Rules

Combat Restrictions

Naval Battles must take place primarily at sea using ships and approved aquatic forces.

Allowed Forces

Naval warfare may involve:

  • Water tames
  • Approved amphibious tames
  • Ships

Restricted Creatures

Creatures that rely on a visible Oxygen stat/bar for extended underwater survival, such as Spinos, may not participate as substitutes for dedicated aquatic or approved amphibious war creatures.

Admin decisions on creature eligibility are final.

The Final Siege is the deciding battle of the war.

After a faction loses the required Field or Naval engagement, the conflict may advance to a siege near the defeated faction's stronghold.

Breaching the Defenses

The attacking faction must successfully break through the defending faction's fortifications and gain access to the Keep or designated inner stronghold.

Primary Objective

The attacking faction achieves victory by successfully:

  • Capturing the defending leader
  • Killing the defending leader

War Outcome

Once the defending leader has been defeated or captured, the war officially ends.

All previously agreed War Terms and consequences are then enforced.

Admins will oversee the conclusion of the conflict and confirm when the war has formally ended.
